UPDATE [9/4/2018] - There are definitely some major bugs with using your arms in this game and sometimes pressing the "w" key causes you to fly around the screen like you have a hard to control jetpack.  Don't use your arms!

Adrift is a 2d platformer without gravity made for the GMTK 2018 Game Jam.  The theme of the jam was [genre] without [mechanic].

You play as a hapless accountant floating amidst the rubble of a wrecked spaceship.

You have a magnetic boot that you can use to latch onto and launch yourself off of parts of the ship.  Make your way to the shuttle at the back of the ship to escape.

Controls:

Left/Right Arrow: Rotate character's body

Up Arrow: Push off with your foot

You can also control your arms.  This is mostly useless in this build.

A/D: Rotate characters arms

W: Push with you arms

UPDATE [9/2/2018 - 5:20PM EST] - The WebGL version I uploaded for the GMTK Game Jam had major performance problems and when I attempted to upload a fixed version it broke everything.  If you want to play a fixed version in your browser go to:

http://partsandcrafts.org/adrift/

There should also be a Windows build that you can download that I uploaded before the end of the jam, but I can't see it on the page.  Who knows!
